26 DOPE TEXT ALTERNATIVES TO USING LOREM IPSUM FOR YOUR CREATIVE MOCK-UPS

Of course, you may already be aware of the good ol' Ipsum tool that allows you to generate text you can use to fill a blank space within your creative works and mockups. This is great but using text II'm sure many of us don't understand, even if just for the moment, can get boring. Fortunately, if you're anything like me, you are a bit picky (in a good way) and enjoy trying new things. So, I assumed those reading this post may as well be a bit picky too. I'm sharing some of my favorite and newfound Ipsum resources you can use instead - thank me later.

There is still a pointless argument of whether the use of Lorem Ipsum is still relevant to various works today. As someone who is on #TeamDummyTextLivesMatter, being able to insert filler text definitely has it's uses for most of my works. That being said, saying that there’s absolutely no need for filler text is definitely a tad bit shortsighted. However, there are still some great uses for it.

In design, those who pay designers (like me) may demand mockups before providing content - whether its web design, email templates, blog templates, etc. There may be some legal copy that the designer needs to consider in the layout but won’t actually receive from the legal department until much further down the road. There may also even be a person who needs to test a new page generating script just to see if it works as it should. So, point given. We need this...

FOR THE MF'N COOL KIDS!

1. TUPAC IPSUM
I love Pac. He's definitely a man I'd want to talk injustices and community solutions with once I leave this place. If you need that too cool, lyrical piece to bring your work together, give this a try.

2. GANGSTA IPSUM
There's only one way to explain this text generator - if Snoop Dogg and Lil Scrappy came together and spit out a version of them together, it would be the Gangsta Ipsum language. Ya feeling fizznyeee?

3. KHALED IPSUM
Who doesn't love DJ Khaled? I'm not die hard fan by any means but I couldn't have made this postwithout him, right? We da best!

4. SAMUEL L. IPSUM
This is obviously pretty self-explanatory. We all know Samuel L. Jackson is the king of un-censorship. If you really love raunchy language, this one is a good'ern (yes, a good'ern) too.

5. 90S IPSUM
Let me just take a moment to say, "90s babies stand up!" - okay, moving on. This is a fun generator of popular 90s language and old school favorites from tootsie rolls to MC Hammer pants.

FOR THE QUIRKY, CUTE, + FEMININE

6. HIPSTER IPSUM
I guess when you think of hipsters, the automatic thought would be for some - lots of yellow, dreamcatchers, vegans, Prince, and maybe even some John Lennon.

7. CUPCAKE IPSUM
One of my favorites. Since eating tons of sweets is totally against my health, at least I can live vicariously through reading the names. This would be a great resource for bakery, cute, and fun content.

8. CAT IPSUM
For the cat ladies and gents of the world. This Ipsum definitely showcases the daily lives of cats. Scratch up drapes and become a possible, viral internet sensation is how they live.

9. HIPPIE IPSUM
A more urban-like version of Hipster. This generator focuses more on meditation, crystals, mind/body, and holistic vibes. Perfect for wellness content.

10. MINION IPSUM
You get it. I don't think many of us understand a word they say but at least it's more fun to try to. This may be a fun resource for parenting/kid content.

FOR THE FOOD ENTHUSIASTS

11. CAJUN IPSUM
From po'boys to jambalaya, this Ipsum surely creates NOLA spirit for any food creator. Let's just say "laissez les bon temps rouler"! I swear it's better when spoken aloud.

12. COFFEE IPSUM
For the coffee-obsessed. I think it's pretty neat that you can choose a paragraph size of an expresso shot, normal cup, or a grande.

13. VEGGIE IPSUM
Viva la greens and collard greensss! 'Tis all. Vegan/Vegetarian blogger? Check this Ipsum out.

14. BACON IPSUM
Swine lovers rejoice! (lol) - an endless resource for all things hamburger, ribs, pork chops, and bottomless southern comfort foods.

I'm just going to say that I never knew pasta had so many names... thanks Italy. Interesting resource that gives you the option to include random profanity. Eh?

FOR THE MAKERS + SHAKERS

16. STARTUPSUM IPSUM
This Ipsum is dear to me. If you love all things related to business startups, from social proof talk and leverage, you'll enjoy this. FYI, MJ's "Wanna Be Starting Something" comes to mind. *dances*

17. CORPORATE IPSUM
For the deeply professional and corporate folks in the world. Focus on the bottom line and partnerships in your futures.

18. OBAMA IPSUM
I'm not going to front, I was hoping to catch a few lines of Al Green in this speech source for the sake of giggles. But it's Obama... a lot of people just want to be like Obama.

19. SOCIAL GOOD IPSUM
How do you contribute to society? What hope do you foster in your community. Awesome Ipsum, great for non-profits, colleges, and campaign content.

20. OFFICE IPSUM
I like that there is an option for wanting just office content where language heard in every office around the world exists as well as a client option, where their feedback all tends to be universal.

FOR THE ALTERNATE VIEWING

21. ALIEN IPSUM
Paranormal activity is alive and well in this resource. But we're not going to say anything ... the FEDs watching. *serious face laugh* lol

22. STAR TREK IPSUM
For the lovers of the galaxy! These are the voyages... (great for the weirdly cool content creators).

23. POKEMON IPSUM
Sorry, no Pokemon GO here but they do have some serious fan lingo you'll recognize. You have the option to use Pokemon with or without Ipsum.

24. BATMAN IPSUM
Marvel lovers and Batman-obsessed. Love that you can basically customize your filler text by selecting the movie and characters you want within your Ipsum to create your storyline.

25. SAGAN IPSUM
From mystery of the cosmos to galaxies yet discovered - this resource is definitely for the everyday magical humans in the universe...

Number 26... well, you already heard about it when I shared Ipsum number four. 'Tis all.
What Ipsum are you?
